*SHALOM* *DAY 4 -NOVENA TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS* *THEME: KNOW THE HEART THAT LOVES YOU MOST* *SATURDAY - 21/06/2025* *PRAYER INTENTIONS.....* *_Mercy Flows from the heart_* Today we pray for those who struggle to forgive themselves or others, that they may encounter the mercy of Jesus. Today we pray for a Church and a world more rooted in mercy than judgment. *MEDITATION* *(Luke 6:36) “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.”* *(Titus 3:5) “He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy.”* *🎈🌾 Mercy at the Center* The Sacred Heart of Jesus is not merely an emblem of love, it is the eternal wellspring of mercy. It beats not only with affection, but with a mercy that stoops low, lifts high, and never gives up. Too often, we confuse mercy with weakness, or treat it like a last resort when justice fails. But in truth, mercy is God’s first and most powerful response to our brokenness. It is how the Heart of Christ operates, always ready to forgive, always eager to restore. St. Faustina wrote, “Mercy is the greatest attribute of God.” And Pope St. John Paul II added, “Mercy is love’s second name.” The Church does not exist to condemn, but to proclaim and extend the mercy of the Heart of Jesus to the world. But we know how hard mercy can be especially when we've been wounded. Many people struggle to forgive themselves for past mistakes or to forgive others who caused deep pain. That’s why the Sacred Heart invites us to drink from His mercy, not just once, but daily. If you've carried guilt, shame, bitterness, or resentment, today is for you. Jesus says: “Come to Me, and I will wash you in My mercy.” And once you’ve tasted that mercy, He calls you to become a vessel of it, for your family, for your Church, for the world. The world has enough judgment. What it needs now is a Church of mercy, a people whose hearts reflect His. *In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. In His Heart, we see Your mercy, Your patience, and Your desire to draw us back when we go astray. We come before You now to consecrate ourselves, our families, and our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Lord, we offer You every joy and sorrow, every hope and struggle. We unite to the Heart of Jesus all who suffer, all who search for meaning, all who feel forgotten. May His Heart be a refuge for the broken, a flame for the cold, and a compass for the lost.
