*HR Assistant Manager* SVA Holdings Randburg Permanent Full Time Published: 11 hours ago Introduction The Human Capital Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting and enhancing the human resources function through comprehensive oversight of employee relations, HR administration, compliance, recruitment, logistics, procurement, and legal processes. This role ensures effective execution of all HR-related activities while maintaining strict adherence to labour legislation, PSIRA regulations, and internal standards across the organization. Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: HR Administration & Compliance: Draft and review employment contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in compliance with South African labour law and company policy. Maintain accurate documentation of HR actions through reports, forms, and logs. Monitor and follow up on employee attendance discrepancies using the SINC system. Ensure Regional Manager itineraries are uploaded and verified before month-end. Keep updated with legislative changes and ensure policies and procedures align accordingly. Ensure full compliance with PSIRA regulations, including documentation, registration, and operational standards applicable to the security industry. Employee Relations & Labour Law: Chair disciplinary hearings, manage investigations, and recommend appropriate sanctions in line with legal frameworks and internal policies. Coordinate and represent the company in CCMA matters including Con/Arb processes and arbitration hearings. Draft pleadings, legal submissions, and witness statements. Engage with unions and legal teams to resolve labour disputes and ensure sound industrial relations. Coordinate with bargaining councils and ensure collective agreements are adhered to. Recruitment, Induction & Onboarding: Manage Head Office recruitment processes: job advertising, candidate shortlisting, interviews, and background screening (including polygraph and criminal checks). Facilitate comprehensive induction for new employees to ensure smooth onboarding and alignment with organizational values. Logistics, Procurement & Operational Support: Issue and manage uniforms for all employees, ensuring tracking and accountability. Arrange and coordinate travel logistics, including flight bookings, for company management. Manage the issuance and cancellation of fuel cards for employees. Reconcile fuel usage, employee claims, and manage monthly fuel expenditure reports. Oversee internal procurement of HR-related goods and services. Manage monthly Regional Manager itineraries and schedules to ensure operational efficiency. Special Projects, Events & Change Management: Lead or contribute to internal HR and compliance-related projects to support business needs. Assist in planning and executing company events (e.g., wellness days, recognition programs, internal launches). Support and guide change management processes to improve systems, compliance, and culture. Desired Experience & Qualification 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a compliance or managerial HR role. Demonstrated experience in managing disciplinary processes, CCMA representation, and employee relations. Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and coordinating employment checks (polygraph, criminal screening). Prior exposure to PSIRA-compliant HR processes and procedures. Familiarity with managing HR functions across multi-site or regional operations is advantageous.
