Nigerian Youth Arrested in Krishnagiri for ₹1.15 Crore Online Scam!
In a dramatic operation in Krishnagiri, a 43-year-old Nigerian national, Edward Epam Idubor, was arrested for allegedly defrauding people of ₹1.15 crore through online scams. He reportedly lured victims with promises of doubling their money and high investment returns.
Police Chase to Stop the Car: While on night patrol near Kundarapalli, Krishnagiri Taluk police officers attempted to stop a suspicious car. However, the vehicle sped away, prompting a swift chase by the officers who successfully intercepted it near the Krishnagiri toll plaza.
Shocking Seizure During the Search: Upon inspection of the car, the police recovered:
5 mobile phones (including 3 iPhones)
1 laptop
7 bank passbooks
9 ATM cards
4 foreign passports
₹3.93 lakh in cash
€200 in Euros
Already a Wanted Person: Investigations revealed that Idubor was already wanted by the Bengaluru police for an online fraud case involving ₹1.15 crore. He was immediately arrested and handed over to a team of police officers from Karnataka led by SI Hanuman Gowda.
