Menstruation should never be a barrier to education. Yet, many girls still face challenges that make managing their periods difficult. Missing school, facing stigma, and suffering in silence. Last week, to mark Menstrual Hygiene Day, Center For Advocacy,Transparency & Accountability Initiative - CATAI together with our partners, the Borno State Ministry of Women Affairs, student bodies, and civil society organizations, came together to call for stronger action toward a #periodfriendlyborno. From thought-provoking drama performances by students to a powerful panel of child parliamentarians, we amplified voices and pushed for policies that support menstrual hygiene in schools and communities. Together, we’re breaking the silence, ending the stigma, and working toward a future where no girl is held back by her period. #periodfriendlyworld
