On World Assistive Technology Day, we are sharing the stories of some the most vulnerable children in Gaza. With hearing aids and batteries scarce due to market shortages, almost all of Gazaโs 10,000 children with hearing impairments are left to live in extremely dangerous conditions without these critical devices. UNICEF is working to bring hearing aids to children like Reem and Abdelaziz, but much more help is needed. A UNICEF chartered airlift, supported by the European Union, has departed Liรจge airport in Belgium carrying 6,000 cartons of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF). This vital shipment is enough to meet the nutritional needs of approximately 6,000 children in #Gaza for around six weeks.
