I usually start from 1 year to teach my children Identification of OBJECTS IN THE HOME. I pronounce all the objects to them clearly like chair, table, cups etc. This act help to keep them focused in whatever anyone is saying to. It help build their co ordination because they will be calm while listening as you pronounce. The essence of using Educational Materials while teaching anything is to draw the attention of the learners and make them to understand fully what you are saying. With these my method Identifying anything is usually simple to them unless you didn't show them that object. Chinwe Blessing (Raise a Genius Kid Africa Facebook Group)

He was in my class first day of resumption, there was rice, stew and chicken, fried plantain and sliced boiled egg in another plate, irish potato and carrot in another plate then ribena and caprison with biscuit. Haa.... All these for a three years old. He practically went home with most of the food as he is not a big eater. I don't eat or trash food, I returned it all after he ate the little he could. Next day, he was taken to other arm of the class. My boss was on my neck and then I showed him the lunch bag, oga self was speechless. A year later, he was in my class again. Now he is 4, the same loading lunchbag pattern. My HOD pleaded I manage her and I have been managing o 😄😄😄. First term, Miss Esther: please make sure he eats his food and protein. Mind you, he can't even feed himself 😁😁😁😁. Omo, when i finish feeding him, he can barely carry himself 😁. He won't be able to eat his snacks then she started complaining about snacks too.I have to give him fruit as he is resuming in the morning. Later the mum said it's not a must he finishes his food as he is becoming too fat. Me to her, pls give him the quantity you want him to finish. Na that one we drag to December. Second term, I borrow my self sense. Small food, all the plantain and protein, fruits and snacks. A friend asked her why she is doing that and she said.... She wants the teacher to know she is capable. Are we in a competition? NO Is my child in that class ? NO Why the show off ? There are parents like this in every school and class. Give your child the quantity they can eat. If you see the way some of these food you took time, effort and money to prepare are being trashed on a daily basis you will be surprised. Give enough protein, fruit and good homemade food but in the quantity you child or children can finish. Bukie Oluboye (Raise a Genius Kid Africa Facebook Group)

“I was relaxing on my own when my 3-year-old daughter surprised me with a book and pen. She started drawing and when I asked her what she was up to, she confidently said it was something important that would turn out nice. A few minutes later, she excitedly showed me her masterpiece, exclaiming 'Mummy, surprise! I drew you!' The portrait she created was... interesting, to say the least. I couldn't help but chuckle at the thought that if she drew her dad, it would probably be a more accurate representation! Mmesoma your own daughter will draw you like this” Kosisochukwu Vivian (Raise a Genius Kid Africa Facebook Group)

Dear Parents, Mothers, How do you choose school for your children? Is it as long as you can afford the school fees nothing else matters? Do you take into consideration if you can meet up with other basic necessities of the school ( like when they have activities, your children dressing), their school accessories ( food, lunchbox, water bottle and all ? Have you taken into consideration how your children feels when they aren't properly dressed as their peers ?? A little story..... 3 years ago I was pregnant and working in a school at Lekki headed by a white lady. I was so much in love with this school, care and attention was top-notch but I couldn't afford it even with the discount as a staff. When I see cars dropping children, their school accessories, food, clothing and party pack, I knew my baby wouldn't have a space in that school. I won't jeopardize her feelings because I like the school. My other colleague brought her toddler to the creche, Omo he was pale in comparison to others. When pictures are taken during activities, sometimes the baby's picture has to be cropped as he wasn't properly dressed. It got to a point they had to use school clothes for him at times..... Why take a child through that stress ?? Dear parents, please put your child or children in school you can afford not just the school fees. Do your children and your self a favor. I wouldn't put my children in a big school while they look and feel like out of place / begger among their peers. Even toddlers knows when they are properly dressed, when they have good bags and food. You see the confidence and smile accompanying them. Bukie Oluboye (Raise a Genius Kid Facebook Group)

Today, I finally tackled something that had been on my mind for a while, why do kids repeat the same misbehavior even after being corrected? As a mom of four, I’ve noticed that sometimes, no matter how many times I correct a certain behavior, it somehow finds its way back. Sound familiar? Instead of just reacting, I decided to take a different approach. This evening, I sat down with my kids for a heart-to-heart conversation. No scolding, no lectures, just an open discussion. I asked them why they kept repeating certain behaviors even after being disciplined. At first, they hesitated, but then one by one, they started sharing their thoughts. Their answers surprised me. One of them said, "Mommy, sometimes I forget, and sometimes I just want to see what will happen." Another admitted, "I don’t like being corrected in front of others, so I do it again when I’m alone." That moment reminded me that parenting isn’t just about correcting behaviors, it’s about understanding the why behind them. By the end of our discussion, we all agreed on something new: a monthly heart-to-heart talk. A time when we can openly discuss behaviors, emotions, and lessons learned, without fear of punishment. Parenting is a journey, not a one-time lesson. And if there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that intentional conversations create better results than repeated corrections. So, if you’re struggling with your child’s repeated behavior, maybe it’s time for a different approach. Instead of just correcting, try connecting. You might be surprised at what they have to say. #TheGracefulParent #ParentingWithGrace #RaisingChampions #HeartToHeartParenting Ccidence Ogu (Raise a Genius Kid Africa Facebook Group)

Beautiful morning to you my exceptional parents and champions💪💪💃💃 🌟 Let's briefly talk about Setting Up a Mini Learning Corner at Home: Creating a Space for Effective Learning 🌟 Parents, are you looking for a way to boost your child’s focus and motivation while learning at home? Here’s how to organize a mini learning corner that fosters creativity, concentration, and academic success! 🧠📚 1. Choose a Quiet, Well-Lit Area Find a calm spot in your home, away from distractions, where your child can focus. Natural light is best, but a good lamp works too! 🌞 2. Add Essential Supplies Keep the basics within reach—pencils, notebooks, and art supplies in bins or baskets. A small whiteboard or chalkboard for notes can also be a fun and functional touch! ✏️🖍️ 3. Personalized Decorations Allow your child to help decorate the space! Hanging motivational quotes, their artwork, or educational posters can make the area feel inspiring and fun. 🎨✨ 4. Comfortable Seating Choose a chair that supports good posture and a desk at the right height. Add a cushion or footrest if needed for extra comfort. 🪑 5. Organize with Purpose Use shelves or organizers to keep books and resources tidy. A clean, organized space promotes a clearer mind for learning! 📚🧩 By creating a learning-friendly environment, you set the stage for success and make learning enjoyable at home. It’s a small step that can make a BIG difference! Tochukwu Chiamaka Deborah (Raise a Genius Kid Africa Facebook Group)
