NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY: 28th February National Science Day is observed every year to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by the eminent physicist Sir C.V. Raman. Sir Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930 for this groundbreaking discovery. The theme for National Science Day 2025 is Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for VIKSIT BHARAT.

టైమ్ మ్యాగజైన్ 13 మందితో ప్రకటించిన 'ఉమెన్ ఆఫ్ ది ఇయర్-2025' జాబితాలో భారత్ నుంచి పూర్ణిమా దేవి బర్మన్ (45) ఒక్కరే చోటు దక్కించుకున్నారు. అస్సాంకు చెందిన ఈమె 18 ఏళ్లుగా Greater Adjutant అనే జాతి కొంగల సంరక్షణకు కృషిచేస్తున్నారు. అంతరించిపోయే దశ నుంచి ప్రస్తుతం వాటి సంఖ్య 1,800 దాటింది. ఆమె స్ఫూర్తితో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 20వేల మంది మహిళలు 'హర్గీలా ఆర్మీ'గా ఏర్పడి అనేక రకాల పక్షులను సంరక్షిస్తున్నారు. 👏👏
