🌿 *Feast of St. Scholastica, Virgin* 🌿 Today, we celebrate the feast of St. Scholastica, the twin sister of St. Benedict and a shining example of prayerful devotion and love for God. πŸ™ As the patron saint of nuns and seekers of a deeper relationship with Christ, St. Scholastica teaches us the power of heartfelt prayer and trust in God’s providence. One of the most well-known stories of her life tells how, during her final meeting with her brother, she prayed fervently for more time together, and God responded with a sudden storm that prevented Benedict from leaving. Her unwavering faith reminds us that when we turn to God with sincerity, He listens and responds in ways beyond our understanding. As "Pilgrims of Hope," may we follow St. Scholastica’s example of deep prayer, trust, and love, seeking God’s presence in our daily lives and entrusting our hopes and desires to Him. St. Scholastica, pray for us, that we may grow in faith and love for God! ✨

If any parishioners are keen to join the PEPT, please approach any of the PEPT members for information. (2) *Promote a β€œSee Something, Say Something” Culture* Parishioners are strongly encouraged to report any suspicious activities or unattended items to any of the PEPT members or the wardens. In the same light, parishioners are reminded not to bring big bags/luggage into the Cry Room, Church or Foyer. These items should be placed at St Joachim's Room. Posters will be placed in strategic areas around the Church to remind parishioners of this. (3) *Medical Professionals* We are strengthening our pool of Medical Professionals. If there are any doctors / nurses in our midst, please do approach our wardens so that we can reach out to you should a need arise. (4) *Keeping Calm in a Crisis* Should any incident arise during Masses, please remain calm and follow the instructions given. This will help the authorities carry out their duties without impediment. We were complimented by the authorities that they were impressed that the congregation co-operated and remained calm during the incident on 9 Nov. ✝️ *Feast of St. Paul Miki and Companions, Martyrs of Japan* ✝️ Today, we remember St. Paul Miki and his Companions, twenty-six brave martyrs who gave their lives for Christ in Nagasaki, Japan, in 1597. Despite facing persecution, they remained steadfast in their faith, proclaiming the Gospel even in the face of death. πŸ™ St. Paul Miki, a Jesuit seminarian, preached forgiveness and love even from the cross, reminding us of Christ’s own example. His final words echoed the hope and faith that sustained him: "The only reason for my being killed is that I have taught the doctrine of Christ. I thank God it is for this reason that I die." As "Pilgrims of Hope," may the courage and witness of these holy martyrs inspire us to remain faithful to Christ, even amidst challenges and trials. Their sacrifice calls us to deepen our commitment to the Gospel and to share God's love fearlessly with the world. St. Paul Miki and Companions, pray for us! πŸ•ŠοΈ

🌹 *Feast of St. Agatha, Virgin and Martyr*🌹 Today, we honor St. Agatha, a courageous young martyr of the early Church who remained steadfast in her faith despite suffering immense persecution. πŸ™ As a model of purity and fortitude, St. Agatha dedicated her life to Christ, choosing to endure great trials rather than compromise her devotion. Her unwavering strength in the face of adversity reminds us that true faith is found in trusting God even in our most difficult moments. St. Agatha is the patron saint of those suffering from illnesses, particularly breast cancer, and of those seeking strength in times of trial. As "Pilgrims of Hope," may we be inspired by her example to stand firm in our faith and to offer our struggles to the Lord with trust and love. St. Agatha, pray for us, that we may remain faithful and courageous in our journey toward holiness! ✨

πŸ•―οΈ *Feast of the Presentation of the Lord* Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas, commemorating the moment when Mary and Joseph presented the infant Jesus in the Temple, fulfilling the law of the Lord. πŸ›οΈ Simeon and Anna, filled with the Holy Spirit, recognized Jesus as the "light for revelation to the Gentiles" (Luke 2:32), a beacon of hope for all humanity. This feast reminds us that Christ is the true light who dispels the darkness of our lives. As we bless candles today, let us also renew our commitment to carry the light of Christ into the world, illuminating hearts with faith, hope, and love. ✨ As "Pilgrims of Hope", may we, like Simeon and Anna, recognize God's presence in our lives and respond with joyful hearts, trusting in His divine plan. Lord, may Your light shine brightly in our hearts and homes today and always! πŸ™

In the same light, parishioners are reminded not to bring big bags/luggage into the Cry Room, Church or Foyer. These items should be placed at St Joachim's Room.
