تاج محل اور آکسفورڈ کچھ لوگ اکثر یہ بات کہتے نظر آتے ہیں کہ جب برطانیہ میں آکسفورڈ بن رہی تھی تب ہندوستان میں ہم تاج محل بنا رہے تھے وہ بھی ایسی ملکہ کی یاد میں جس کاانتقال چودھویں حمل کے دوران ہوا تھا۔ اب ذرا تصویر کا دوسرا رخ دیکھتے ہیں!! اس دور کی دیسی گائنیز کو داد دینا تو بنتی ہے جنہوں نے نازوں سے پلی ملکہ کی تیرہ نارمل ڈیلیوریز کروادیں۔۔۔ آج کے گوروں کی سائنس پڑھ کر تو ڈاکٹر اٹھارہ سال کی لڑکی کا آپریشن کروادیتی ہے۔۔۔ تصویر کا تیسرا رخ تاج محل پر بی بی سی کی ایک ڈاکیومنٹری ہے جس کے مطابق جب تاج بنا تو اس میں ایروڈائنامکس سمیت 26 ایسے جدید علوم استعمال کیے گئے جو اس کی ہم عصر بننے والی آکسفورڈ یونی ورسٹی میں ابھی پڑھائے جانے تھے۔۔۔ تصویر کا چوتھا رخ دنیا کی سب سے قدیم یونی ورسٹی نالندہ تھی جو قبلِ مسیح میں ہندوستان میں تھی اور دنیا بھر سے لوگ یہاں پڑھنے آتے تھے۔ تصویر کا پانچواں رخ سات ہزار سال قبل مسیح میں مہر گڑھ اور پانچ ہزار سال قبل ِ مسیح میں تعمیر ہونے والے موہن جو دڑو اس بات کی گواہی ہیں کہ جب باقی دنیا کے بیشتر حصوں میں انسانوں نے جھگی بھی ڈھنگ سے بنانا نہیں سیکھی تھی، ہمارے علاقے میں دنیا کا سب سرخ پرشکوہ شہر آباد تھا۔ تصویر کا چھٹا اور آخری رخ مسلم دورِ حکومت کے عروج کے بعد جب زوال پذیر مغلوں کا دور آیا تو ہم جو کبھی فنِ تعمیر میں امام ہوا کرتے تھے، صنعت و حرفت کے میدان میں پیچھے رہ گئے اور کبوتر اڑانے لگے، کبوتر اور مرغ بازی کا شوق ایسا گھاتک تھا کہ آج تک ہم اسی میں مبتلا ہیں، بجائے یہ کہ ہم اپنی اصلاح کریں، اسس شوق کے زیرِ اثر ایسے شگوفے چھوڑدیتے ہیں کہ جب یورپ میں آکسفورڈ بن رہی تھی تب ہم تاج محل بنا رہے تھے۔

تاج محل دنیا کے مشہور ترین تاریخی اور ثقافتی ورثوں میں سے ایک ہے۔ یہ ایک شاندار مقبرہ ہے جو ہندوستان کے شہر آگرہ میں دریائے یمنا کے کنارے واقع ہے۔ تاج محل کو مغل بادشاہ شاہ جہاں نے اپنی بیوی ممتاز محل کی یاد میں تعمیر کروایا تھا۔ یہ نہ صرف مغل فن تعمیر کا ایک شاہکار ہے بلکہ محبت اور عقیدت کی علامت بھی سمجھا جاتا ہے۔ --- تعمیراتی تاریخ اور پس منظر تعمیر کا آغاز: 1632ء تعمیر کی تکمیل: 1653ء معمار: استاد احمد لاہوری (قیاس کیا جاتا ہے) تعمیراتی انداز: مغل، فارسی، ترک، اور ہندوستانی فن تعمیر کا حسین امتزاج مقام: آگرہ، اتر پردیش، ہندوستان تاج محل کی تعمیر میں تقریباً 20 سال لگے اور اس میں 20,000 سے زائد مزدوروں، معماروں اور کاریگروں نے حصہ لیا۔ اس کے سنگِ مرمر کو راجستھان، تبت، افغانستان اور عرب ممالک سے منگوایا گیا تھا۔ --- تعمیراتی خصوصیات 1. بنیادی ڈھانچہ تاج محل کا مرکزی گنبد 73 میٹر (240 فٹ) بلند ہے۔ چاروں اطراف چار بلند مینار موجود ہیں جو ہر ایک تقریباً 40 میٹر بلند ہے۔ مرکزی مقبرے کے اندر شاہ جہاں اور ممتاز محل کی قبریں ہیں، جو سنگِ مرمر کی جالیوں سے ڈھکی ہوئی ہیں۔ 2. سنگِ مرمر اور نقاشی تاج محل سفید سنگِ مرمر سے بنا ہے، جو روشنی کے زاویے کے مطابق اپنا رنگ بدلتا دکھائی دیتا ہے۔ دیواروں پر قرآنی آیات نہایت خوبصورتی سے کندہ کی گئی ہیں۔ مقبرے کی اندرونی دیواروں پر پتھر کی جڑائی (Pietra Dura) کا کام کیا گیا ہے، جس میں قیمتی پتھروں سے نقش و نگار بنائے گئے ہیں۔ 3. باغ اور پانی کی نہریں تاج محل کے سامنے ایک وسیع باغ (چار باغ) ہے، جو مغل طرز کا ایک شاہکار ہے۔ باغ میں فوارے اور پانی کی نہریں موجود ہیں جو تاج محل کے عکس کو خوبصورتی سے منعکس کرتی ہیں۔ --- تاج محل کا تاریخی و ثقافتی مقام 1983ء میں یونیسکو (UNESCO) نے تاج محل کو عالمی ثقافتی ورثہ (World Heritage Site) قرار دیا۔ اسے دنیا کے سات عجائبات میں سے ایک بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔ ہر سال لاکھوں سیاح تاج محل دیکھنے آتے ہیں، جو اسے دنیا کی مشہور ترین سیاحتی جگہوں میں شامل کرتا ہے۔ --- دلچسپ حقائق 1. تاج محل کو مکمل طور پر متوازن رکھنے کے لیے اس کے میناروں کو تھوڑا سا باہر کی طرف جھکایا گیا ہے، تاکہ زلزلے کی صورت میں مرکزی عمارت محفوظ رہے۔ 2. کہا جاتا ہے کہ شاہ جہاں نے تاج محل کی تعمیر کے بعد کاریگروں کے ہاتھ کاٹ دیے تاکہ وہ دوبارہ ایسی عمارت نہ بنا سکیں (اگرچہ اس بات کا کوئی تاریخی ثبوت نہیں)۔ 3. برطانوی راج کے دوران تاج محل کو محفوظ رکھنے کے لیے اس پر سبز رنگ کا غلاف چڑھایا گیا تھا تاکہ اسے بمباری سے بچایا جا سکے۔ 4. تاج محل کا رنگ دن کے مختلف اوقات میں بدلتا محسوس ہوتا ہے – صبح کے وقت گلابی، دوپہر کو سفید، اور چاندنی رات میں سنہری نظر آتا ہے۔ --- تاج محل کی موجودہ صورتحال تاج محل کو وقت کے ساتھ ساتھ ماحولیاتی آلودگی اور زائرین کی کثرت کی وجہ سے نقصان پہنچ رہا ہے۔ حکومت ہند اور عالمی ادارے اس کی بحالی اور حفاظت کے لیے مسلسل کوششیں کر رہے ہیں، تاکہ یہ تاریخی ورثہ آنے والی نسلوں کے لیے محفوظ رہے۔ --- نتیجہ تاج محل نہ صرف ہندوستان بلکہ پوری دنیا کے لیے فن تعمیر، محبت، اور تاریخ کا ایک نادر نمونہ ہے۔ یہ ایک ایسی یادگار ہے جو صدیوں سے محبت کی علامت بنی ہوئی ہے اور ہمیشہ اپنی شان و شوکت کے ساتھ قائم رہے گی۔
