The parade will honour the birthday of His Majesty King Charles III and feature marching units from the Royal Bermuda Regiment, Bermuda Police Service, Sea Cadets, and more. Due to National Heroes Day on Monday, June 16, household waste collection will follow a roll-over schedule. On roll-over weeks, waste collection days move over by one day, ending with Friday's waste being collected on Saturday. Recycling collection will remain unchanged as this is not a recycling collection week. Members of the public may also use the Tynes Bay Public Drop-off, which is open from 9 a.m. until noon on the holiday, to dispose of household waste, tin, aluminium, glass bottles (TAG recyclables), hazardous materials such as paints and pesticides, and bulky burnable and non-burnable items. *UPDATE: 11:06 am 13 June 2025* *Please note that the problem has been rectified, and the Transport Control Department system is now fully operational.* The TCD operating system is currently down, and they cannot serve most customers at this time. Customers may choose to wait; however, we do not have an estimated time for when the system will be restored. Driving and riding tests will proceed as scheduled. National Heroes Day 2025 Bus Detours The Department of Public Transportation [DPT] advises of impacts to bus service on National Heroes Day, Monday 16 June 2025 due to extensive road closures required for Bermuda Carnival. The Holiday bus schedule will be in effect and although several routes will be impacted, major impacts are expected for Routes 10 and 11. The public is also advised that due to the nature of the event, the detours will shift throughout the day and evening until all roads are reopened by authorities.
