Seo iad na himeachtaí atá ar siúl inniu (12/06/2025) Art Exhibition in Mullingar Library Runs until 13th June Tetiana Milshyna is a visual landscape artist from Kyiv, Ukraine, where she had been living and working prior to the outbreak of war in February 2022 when she fled her home in Ukraine bringing her watercolours with her. Now living in Cork, Tetiana is currently developing her practice in Ireland. She became a member of Sample-Studios (Cork) and was awarded the Studios of Sanctuary Residency with them. Tetiana is also a member of Visual Artists of Ireland and Lavit Gallery (Cork). Being a landscape artist, based in Cork, her practice is focused on the surrounding seascapes, countryside scenes, historical and archeological heritage. Her works include plein air and studio watercolours of Ireland, especially of counties Cork, Kerry and Waterford. Ask at the desk for more information and make sure to check out our Lego pirate ship to get a head start in the search for gold. Arts & Crafts Swap in Mullingar Library Donations accepted until 14th June What should you donate? This is all about swapping useful material, so please only bring supplies that other people can use. We welcome fabric - needles - wool - crochet hooks - embroidery hoops - stich markers - sketchbooks - clean brushes - tools in working order - patterns - paints - glue - markers - crayons - threads - buttons - new or gently used craft supplies Swap takes place on Saturday 14th June from 11-1pm All welcome, you do not need to donate.

It follows a drone operator in Afghanistan during the war in 2010 who is reluctant to attack and begins to care for the 'target'. In the backwards emotional logic of the war, compassion leads to catastrophe. Part hard-bitten war story where all the humans are monsters and all the monsters are human. * D' or Seifer is a poet living in Limerick. Her work has been published widely. She founded and runs the online poetry series Lime Square Poets, she also co-hosts the First Wednesday Series in collaboration with the Limerick Writers’ Centre. D'or's debut collection, On Being Un/Able to Walk Through Walls (Revival Press) was published earlier this year. * Catherine Ronan is an Irish, award-winning poet and has been writing poetry since childhood. She performs nationally and internationally and has featured at many events including Electric Picnic, Cultivating Voices and Poetry Ireland.
