Today marks the 12th anniversary of the tragic murder of Fusilier Lee Rigby. Our thoughts are with the Rigby family, and all those who knew and loved Lee. This morning councillors and members of the armed forces laid memorial wreaths at St George’s Garrison Church in Woolwich in memory of Lee. On Sunday, Council Leader Anthony Okereke joined the annual ‘Ride of Respect’ in his memory. Anyone who'd like to commemorate Lee can donate to the Fusilier Aid Society, the Lee Rigby Foundation or Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
