ARE YOU STRUGLING TO SET UP AN AUTOMATED MARKETING FLOW FOR YOUR FASHION ACADEMY BUSINESS AS A FASHION BUSINESS OWNER? In about 168 hours over a period of 7 days, we were completed the process set up and handed over to her a marketing flow that works on an automation for the back end and her front end marketing efforts. I had to study her business and brand story to understand her mission, vision, value, goals, and aspirations and the ideal audience she was targeting to attract for her fashion academy. I went further to research these people in order to understand their desires, pain , need, and transformational results they want to experience at the end of the academy. These information helped me to craft out marketing messages that resonates with her ideal customer in order to create a connection with these individuals to her brand in order to take action on every step on thier KLT journey in her marketing funnel . This morning I called her to check up on the flow of her marketing funnel which my team and I helped her set up and I was full of joy when she said that the marketing funnel was a game changer for her business. The process was on an auto pilot saving herself and her staff the time, energy and resources to focus on other areas of thier business and not on repeatitive task of responding to each customer that enters thier DM or thier marketing funnel for enquiries and enrollment. All the processes from marketing, sales, payment, follow-up, and community building were all running smoothly, and now she and her team can focus on the front end of customer acquisition. You can sew like Veekee James or Atafo, but if nobody sees your work, your talent is WASTED. Example: There are thousands of amazing tailors in Lagos. Some sew better than the big names, but guess what? They are broke! Why?Because they are invisible! Theyâre waiting for âreferralsâ instead of MARKETING their work. So what can you do instead: â Show up online DAILY. â Get influencers to wear your work. â Run adsâdonât just hope people will find you. Nobody buys from the best, people buy from who they KNOW. 2ď¸âŁ Skincare & Beauty Brands â If Youâre Not Marketing, Youâre Missing Millions! Your skincare product might clear acne in 7 days. Your beauty brand might give the best glow-up in Nigeria. But if all you do is âpost and pray,â you will struggle. Example: Why do you think brands like botanical, Neoskn & R&R Luxury are booming? They market non-stop! Even though other brands have great products, these brands stays on your feed daily, so people TRUST them and buy! So what can you do instead: â Show before-and-after photos consistently. â Educate peopleâdonât just post "DM for price." â Use influencers, testimonials, and storytelling. People donât buy the best skincare, they buy the one they see EVERY DAY. 3ď¸âŁ Food Business â If Youâre Not Online, Youâre Losing Customers Folake, who is the best amala seller in Lagos? You probably donât know. But who are the most popular food brands in Nigeria? You know them because THEY MARKET! Example: Kilishi King charges more than regular suya spots but they make millions because they sell an EXPERIENCE and push their brand! Meanwhile, some of the best suya sellers in Nigeria are still hustling in the dark. Is it because they have the best specs? No! Samsung and other brands have phones with better features. But Apple dominates because their marketing is UNMATCHED. What can you do instead: â Make noise about your productânobody will market for you. â Build hype around new arrivals. â Run creative adsâdonât be boring! Itâs not about whatâs bestâitâs about whatâs SEEN. 5ď¸âŁ Coaches, Consultants & Service Providers â If You Donât Show Up, Youâll Stay Broke Example: You might be the best business coach, fitness trainer, or marketing strategist in Nigeria, but if youâre not VISIBLE, who will book you? Do you know how many qualified experts are out there struggling for clients? Meanwhile, someone with less expertise but strong marketing is making millions. Here are what you can do: â Show your resultsâpeople buy from people who can prove they deliver. â Be the face of your brandâ people trust people. â Stop waiting for âword-of-mouthâ referralsâmarket yourself aggressively. MONEY OR INTEGRITY, WHICH WILL YOU CHOOSE AS A BUSINESS OWNER? Intergrity Over Money? Does Trust Matters In Business.... Letâs talk about business ethics, integrity, and why some clients will always test your values! So, thereâs this client who runs a food business. She wanted a social media manager from my agency but didnât want to pay the premium package fee. I get itâsmall businesses have budget concerns, and Iâm always willing to work with business owners to help them grow. So, I did what I normally wouldnât do: â I gave her a hybrid staff (which is meant for premium clients) â I agreed to 2 posts per day (even though this was above the basic plan she paid for) â I kept the price at 150K/month (which is less than 180k basic price package) instead of pushing her to go for the premium package of 250K/month Fast forward to the next month⌠I sent her a renewal receipt, and suddenly, sheâs no longer interested. Her excuse was? â2 posts per day is not enough isn't enough for my kind of business.â But wait oh⌠isnât that what we agreed on? Didnât I already explain that higher posting and hybrid roles belong to the higher package? Fine. Business is business. If she doesnât want to renew, we move. I instructed my staff to log out from all accounts and officially end the contract. Then I reminded my staff about our agreement: đ¨ If the client reaches out to hire you privately, refer them back to us. Donât breach your contract. Donât compromise your integrity. And guess what? The client had already offered my staff money to work for her outside my agency. Meaning, she planned to cut me off and go behind my back. BUT MY STAFF REFUSED! She said something that made me so proud: đŹ "More than the money she offered me, I value my integrity, trust, and my working relationship with my employer." So whats the lesson we need to learn from this? 1ď¸âŁ Some Clients Donât Just Want Services, They Want to Exploit Your Structure! Some people donât respect business boundaries. They will come in, act friendly, negotiate, underpay you, then try to steal your staff or resources when they think they donât need you anymore. đ¨ Donât be naive dear agency owners! Put structures and contracts in place. Protect your business! 2ď¸âŁ Integrity Will Take You Further Than Money Ever Will! That staff could have taken the money. She could have cut corners. She could have disrespected the company that trained and paid her. But she chose loyalty. And trust me, this one act of integrity will open bigger doors for her than any under-the-table deal ever could. The biggest mistake you can make as a business owner or staff is to sell out your integrity for short-term gains. 3ď¸âŁ Business Owners, Do Onto others what you want Done to You? I told the client straight up: "If your own staff did this to you, how would you feel? I hope you will be happy. " See eh... This thing we are talking about happens every day in business. People will poach your best workers. People will use you and cut you off. But thatâs their character, not yours. So as a business owner protect yourself. As an employee value integrity, because reputation is everything. If youâre running a business, ensure you have contracts and structures that protect your work and your people. If youâre an employee, understand that trust and loyalty will take you further than any shady money deal. And if youâre a client, RESPECT business structures. Donât try to cut corners and cheat the system. At the end of the day, business is about relationships. And the people who play fair and do business with integrity always win in the long run.
