Ingredients For the Tomatoes: • Green tomatoes – 4-5, thickly sliced • Salt – for sprinkling • Flour (maida) – 1/4 cup • Cornstarch – 1/4 cup • Salt – to taste • Pepper – to taste • Chilli powder – 1/4 tsp • Garlic – 3 cloves, minced • Onion – 1 tbsp, finely chopped • Milk – 5 tbsp • Vinegar – 1 tsp • Water – 1/4 cup • Breadcrumbs – for coating For the Bang Bang Sauce: • Sriracha – 2 tbsp • Vinegar – 2 tsp • Chilli flakes – 1 tsp • Sugar – 1/2 tsp • Salt – 1/2 tsp • Mayonnaise – 6 tbsp For Garnish: • Green onions – chopped • Sesame seeds – toasted Method 1. Slice the green tomatoes into thick rounds. Sprinkle both sides with salt and let them sit for 10 minutes to draw out the water. 2. Mix milk and vinegar in a bowl to prepare buttermilk. 3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, chilli powder, garlic, onion, and water with the buttermilk to make a smooth, flowy batter. 4. Dip the tomato slices into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated. 5. Coat the battered tomato slices in breadcrumbs evenly. 6. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C. Place the coated tomatoes in the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes, flipping them halfway through. 7. While the tomatoes are cooking, prepare the Bang Bang Sauce by mixing sriracha, vinegar, chilli flakes, sugar, salt, and mayonnaise in a bowl. 8. Once the tomatoes are done, garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. 9. Serve the air-fried tomatoes with the Bang Bang Sauce on the side. #wintergreens #localproduce #winterveggies #greentomatoes #greentomato #easyrecipes
