*RHYTHMS OF TRADITION: CHINAMHORA AND NGOMAKURIRA`S QUEST TO PROMOTE ZIMBABWEAN* *CULTURE* *Introduction** In the rich cultural landscape of Zimbabwe, one name resonates with the haunting melodies of the Mbira music - Chinamhora of Ngomakurira Mbira Group, born Nathan Guwa, a proud bearer of the Soko Mukanya totem. With roots tracing back to the esteemed Chieftainship of Chinhamora, under the ancestral guidance of Chief Chinamora, Headman Gwindi, and Village Head Guwa, Nathan`s journey began on January 7 1985, at Makumbe Hospital in Domboshava. Shaped by life`s trials, including the loss of his father, John Mapfumo Guwa in 1993 and his mother, Francesca Nyakudya (Moyo Dhewa) in 2000, Nathan`s story is one of resilience and heritage. As he takes on the stage-name Chinamhora, he embodies the spirit of his ancestors. Carrying forward the legacy of the mbira and the traditions that define his people. *Chinamora`s Mbira Journey* Nathan Guwa`s journey into the enchanting world of Mbira music is a testament to his heritage and dedication. Born into a family steeped in musical tradition, Nathan`s father was a skilled Mbira player who instilled in him an innate talent for the instrument. After his father`s passing, Nathan`s uncle, Smart Albert Nyakudya, a respected traditional leader and healer in Chitungwiza`s Zengeza 3, took him under his wing and taught him the intricacies of Mbira playing. As a young boy, Nathan would often attend Bira ceremonies at his uncle`s homestead, immersing himself in the rhythms and melodies of the Mbira. His early exposure to the instrument allowed him to pick up the skills quickly, and by the age of 12, he was already playing Mbira at various Bira ceremonies with Sekuru Nyakudya. Nathan`s musical prowess soon expanded to include playing the Hosho and drums, making him a versatile and valuable member of any Mbira group. *Key milestones in Nathan`s Mbira journey:* Nathan Guwa`s early beginnings were deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Zimbabwean Mbira music, where he developed a passion for the instrument at a tender age by attending Bira ceremonies, traditional gatherings that invoke ancestral spirits through music. These events, filled with the mesmerizing sounds of the Mbira, Hosho, and drums, did not only captivate Nathan but also instilled in him a desire to learn and master the Mbira. His journey took a significant turn when he began training with his uncle, Smart Albert Nyakudya, a respected traditional leader and healer in Chitungwiza`s Zengeza 3. Under his uncle`s guidance, Nathan learned the intricacies of Mbira playing, building on the foundation laid by his father, who was also a skilled Mbira player. This early exposure allowed Nathan to pick up the skills quickly, and by the age of 12, he was already playing Mbira at various Bira ceremonies with Sekuru Nyakudya, demonstrating a natural affinity for the instrument. As he progressed, Nathan`s musical prowess expanded to include playing the Hosho and Drums, making him a versatile member of any Mbira Music group and setting the stage for his future endeavours in the world of Mbira music. *Playing with various groups:* • *Mazingidzi Mbira Group* Joined the group in St. Mary`s, playing Mbira and other instruments. • *Mupamombe Mbira Crew* Collaborated with Lovemore Jaji`s group in Mayambara, performing at various ceremonies • *Nherera Vauya* Played drums with Sekuru Newton Matemai`s group • *Dingindira reMahororo* Formed a group with Crossroads International, performing at Mushandirapamwe Hotel in 2006. • *Madendera ekumabva Zuva* Joined Lovemore Salary`s group, further honing his skills. *NGOMAKURIRA MBIRA GROUP* Nathan Guwa`s perseverance and passion for Mbira music have been instrumental in shaping his journey, ultimately leading to the formation of his own group, Ngomakurira, in 2022. Named after the iconic Ngomakurira Mountain in Domboshava, the group is a testament to Nathan`s dedication to reviving and preserving Zimbabwe`s rich cultural heritage. With roots tracing back to his early exposure to Bira ceremonies and mentorship from his uncle, Smart Albert Nyakudya, Nathan`s musical prowess has evolved significantly. His group, Ngomakurira, has achieved notable success, including a performance at the prestigious Chivavarira Mbira Festival in 2024 at the National Arts Gallery. Furthermore, Ngomakurira is registered with the National Arts Council, solidifying its position within Zimbabwe`s vibrant arts scene. Through Ngomakurira, Nathan continues to play deep Mbira music, not only entertaining audiences but also contributing to the preservation and promotion of Zimbabwean culture. As a respected figure in Zimbabwe`s Mbira music scene, Nathan Guwa carries forward the legacy of his ancestors, inspiring a new generation of musicians and music enthusiasts alike. *Message to Mbira Players* • *Unity and Respect:* Mbira players should work together as a family, avoiding divisions and promoting mutual respect. This unity is crucial in preserving the cultural significance of Mbira playing. • *Cultural Preservation:* Mbira players should focus on preserving their cultural heritage by playing traditional music and avoiding external influences like guitar beats. This helps maintain the authenticity and spiritual connection of Mbira music. • *Personal Conduct:* Mbira players should uphold a dignified personal conduct, reflecting the instrument`s cultural significance and deep roots in ancestral respect. This entails avoiding behaviours that may tarnish the reputation of the craft, such as prostitution, which violates human dignity. Instead, mbira players should prioritize *personal hygiene and cleanliness (physically and spiritually),* ensuring they present themselves respectfully, especially during ceremonies and performances. In line with *Ubuntu/Hunhuism,* a philosophy emphasizing community, respect, and interconnectedness, mbira players are expected to embody values such as follows: 1. *Respect for Ancestors* Demonstrating reverence for ancestors and acknowledging the spiritual significance of the mbira in communicating with ancestral spirits. 2. *Community-oriented* Prioritizing community well-being and using their craft to promote social cohesion and cultural identity. 3. *Integrity and Dignity* Conducting themselves with integrity, avoiding behaviours that may bring shame or dishonour to themselves, their community, or the craft, while fostering a positive reputation for mbira music. • *Inclusivity:* Mbira music should be accessible to everyone, with songs that cater to all age groups. This inclusivity helps promote the cultural values and traditions associated with Mbira playing. • *Spiritual Connection* Mbira players should strive to connect with their ancestral spirits, especially during Bira ceremonies. This spiritual connection is vital in maintaining the cultural significance and traditional values of Mbira music. *Discography* Chinhamora and Ngomakurira are excited to announce that they`re working on a new recording project, with studio sessions scheduled soon. The upcoming album, titled “Dzimbahwe on the Way”, promises to be a significant milestone in their musical journey. To bring this project to life, they are seeking funding and sponsorship opportunities. *Chinamora`s Message* 1. *Respecting Our Heritage:* As Zimbabweans, cherishing our cultural music and values is crucial for building a brighter future. Our heritage provides essential life skills, such as respect for the elders and leadership, while promoting environmental stewardship. Through embracing our traditions, we can foster a sense of community and cultural identity. Zimbabwe`s rich musical heritage, including Mbira music, plays a significant role in shaping our values and traditions. Mbira music, with its spiritual significance and intricate polyrhythms, is an integral part of Shona culture, serving as a means of storytelling, preserving history, and folklore, and connecting the community with ancestral spirits. Our cultural values emphasize respect for elders, leadership, and the environment, which are vital for promoting social cohesion and responsible citizenship. Through preserving and promoting our cultural heritage, we can ensure the continuation of these values and traditions. Furthermore, traditional music and dance have significantly influenced modern Zimbabwean music, with many contemporary artists drawing inspiration from traditional rhythms and melodies. This blend of traditional and modern sounds has created a unique musical landscape that showcases Zimbabwe`s rich cultural diversity. 2. *Recognition and Promotion:* * We urge the government to recognize Mbira as a valuable heritage, as designated by UNESCO, and provide platforms to showcase our music at national events like Heroes` Day and Independence Day celebrations. Through promoting authentic Mbira music, free from external influences, we can preserve Zimbabwe`s cultural identity and provide opportunities for artists to share their talents with a broader audience. To achieve this, we propose reviving the tradition of featuring Mbira music on radio stations, which was once a staple of Zimbabwean broadcasting but has sadly dwindled over time. Additionally, we suggest collaborating with UNESCO to promote Mbira music and preserve cultural heritage, organizing music festivals that celebrate Mbira and traditional Zimbabwean music, and developing cultural exchange programs to promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation of Zimbabwean music. These initiatives will not only promote cultural awareness but also support the growth and development of Mbira music in Zimbabwe. *Conclusion* In conclusion, Nathan Guwa, known as Chinamhora, is a master mbira player who embodies the spirit of Zimbabwe`s rich cultural heritage. Through his group, Ngomakurira, he preserves and promotes traditional mbira music, while inspiring a new generation of musicians. Chinamhora`s journey highlights the importance of cultural preservation and the role of traditional music in shaping Zimbabwean identity. As he embarks on new musical projects, his dedication to authentic Mbira music serves as a testament to the enduring power of Zimbabwe`s cultural traditions. Through recognizing and supporting Mbira music, we can ensure the continuation of this vital part of Zimbabwe`s heritage. *Compiled By ZICH Research Officer - Charles Mavhunga* *Contact Information* Email address :- *[email protected]* . TRIBUTE TO A REBEL WOMAN :CHIONESO MARAIRE Follow our WhatsApp Channel for more updates https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vai0FQJ11ulJHRRO3r0l *Chioneso Maraire the Ancient voice* Last week the 24th of July marked the 11th anniversary of the passing on of the incredible and amazing songstress, one of the country's best-known exponents of the mbira, Chiwoniso Chaapocho Maraire. Chiwoniso, born in Olympia, Washington, U.S. on March 5, 1976, was the daughter of celebrated Zimbabwean mbira player and teacher, Dumisani Maraire and Linda Nemarundwe Maraire, known as "Mai Chi", she was a singer as well. Chi, Chiwo, Sister Chi as she is affectionately known, was raised in very musical and deeply traditional family. She was a child prodigy in her day, being exposed to music from a very tender age. By age 4 she was able to play mbira. In 1986, when she was 10, she was part of the group Nyunga Nyunga Mbira and she did the lead vocals for the title track of her father's album called "Tichazomuona". Upon her return to Zimbabwe at age 15 in 1991, she joined with Herbert Schwamborn (Prince Qwela)now Metaphysics, Tony Chihota (Chief), and Keith Farquharson and formed Zimbabwe's pioneering hip hop group called "A Peace of Ebony". In 1995 at 19, Chi was introduced to the late great lead guitarist and maverick Andy Brown (who later became her husband) by Keith Farquharson who had worked with both of them in previous groups Ilanga and A Peace of Ebony. On joining Andy's group The Storm, Chi immediately formed a very unique combination with him. The way the two's vocals blended was magical and the way his guitar and her mbira complimented each other was a match made in another world. The tracks "Tongogara" , "Mawere Kongonya" and "Kure Kure" bears testimony to this fact. 25 years ago, In 1998 at only 22 and whilst still part of The Storm, Chiwoniso gave us her debut album a ground-breaking record titled "Ancient Voices" to much critical acclaim, it is what I would describe as a perfect album. One of the greatest bodies of work ever produced in Zimbabwe. What else do you expect when you get Maraire on lead vocals and mbira, Mwendikanyi Chibindi on backing vocals and percussion, Brown on guitar, Farquharson on keyboards and production, Adam Chisvo on congas and percussion, Ian Hillman on bass guitar, Steve Dyer on Brass and Sam Mataure on drums? Her version of the traditional folklore song Nhemamusasa remains the best for me to date, it's enchanting. Ancient Voices is a clear example of how modern sounds can be fused with our traditional sounds. Other tracks on the album include; "Mai", "Ancient Voices", "Tamari", "Wandirasa", "Look To The Spirit", "Madame 20 Cents", "Iwai Nesu", "The Way Of Life", "Everyone's Child" (Soundtrack to Tsitsi Dangarembga's 1996 movie by the same name). Ancient Voices achieved international acclaim, In 1999, Radio France awarded Maraire the Decouverte Afrique for Ancient Voices. That same year, she was also nominated for Best Female Vocals for the Kora All-Africa Music Awards. Ancient Voices entered the World Music Charts in Europe three times. 1999 she also fronted Andy Brown's band The Storm at MASA festival in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, where she won the UNESCO Price for Arts. In 2001, she left The Storm, to pursue a solo career. Divorce robbed us of an unrivaled collaboration. The two had two children, Chengeto and Chiedza (now also late). That same year, she formed her own group and called it Vibe Culture made up of some former members of The Storm, and continued performing both locally and internationally. In 2004, she released her second album called Timeless with The Collaboration: Hupenyu Kumusha/Life at Home/Impilo Ekhaya. Volume 1 coming in 2006. She released her last album Rebel Woman in 2008. Some of my other favorite songs from her included "Vakuru Vanorapa", "Rebel Woman" and her rendition of Thomas Mapfumo's "Zvichapera" released posthumously in 2015. Chiwoniso played at many festivals and concerts around the world and was a permanent feature at the now defunct Book Cafe in Harare, a place which was a cultural hub that gave birth to many of Zimbabwe's creatives. She also collaborated with various artists from across the globe and between years 2001 and 2004, she was a member of the multinational all-women band Women's Voice, whose original members hailed from Algeria, Israel, Tanzania, USA and Zimbabwe. In 2013, at age 37, Chiwoniso Chaapocho Maraire died at Chitungwiza's SouthMed hospital. Chiwoniso would have lived on to become one of Zimbabwe's celebrated cultural and musical exports in the mould of Mbuya Stella Chiweshe and Oliver Mtukudzi. But then death, death cruelly robbed us of a musical ambassador. Chiwoniso defied the odds when she picked up the mbira, an instrument which was reserved traditionally only for men. She indubitably revolutionized the nyunga nyunga and her music influenced a whole generation of young female mbira players who have followed in her footsteps and imitate her on the stage. Chi might have left us in body, but her spirit lives on in her music. #NO CULTURE NO FUTURE NB:*MBIRA MUSIC IS OUR INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE LET'S EMBRACE OUR TRADITIONAL MUSIC* Follow us on:- *FACEBOOK* *@Zimbabwe Intangible Cultural Heritage* https://www.facebook.com/share/17zXZ2WNmG/?mibextid=wwXIfr *INSTAGRAM* @ *ZICH TV MEDIA* https://www.instagram.com/zichtvmedia/profilecard/?igsh=d3N3ZmlkbTZ4a3E= *TIKTOK* *@ zichtvmedia* https://www.tiktok.com/@zichtvmedia?_t=ZG-8srTiO9lFYH&_r=1 *YOUTUBE* *@ ZICH TV* https://youtube.com/@zichtvmedia?feature=shared 🔄🔄🔄Share our Articles and documentaries with Family and friends

Follow our WhatsApp Channel for more updates https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vai0FQJ11ulJHRRO3r0l *DEFINING, DISSECTING & DISSERT THE ANCESTRAL OR TRADITIONAL TERMS & PERSONALITIES* Greetings to you all the Great, Noble and Honourable Elders, Leaders and Living Soils of Dzimbahwe. I salute you all with both King-Size and Queen-Size Dzimbahwe honour. I do hereby come unto you in peace, by peace, for peace, with peace and through peace. With only one purpose instigating me to share the little I perfectly understand at this juncture, since in this universe we involuntarily exist within the Great Circles and Cycles of Life; where we have to LEARN, UNLEARN AND RELEARN all things which are embroiled in complexity. One thing which I have come to realise is that.......... If you question anything and everything ,you will definitely be rewarded or awarded with some answers which are beyond the general common ones. Majority of the masses abstain from this filtering process of questioning simply because of the FEAR FACTOR or laziness to think/reason deeply (heavily) hence they remain subjects to perpetual, progressive and perfected slavery being designed, created, propelled, promoted and or utilised by other fellow cunning beings in this universe. These cunning beings are actually INCARNATE DEVILS who seek to trap, incarcerate, control and own the people as their own abstract property. Despite the fact that, each-and-every human being is created and formed A FREE-SPIRIT indeed. First-and-foremost, before I proceed to expound on the issue laid down on the banquet table, I would like to bring this quote I met amidst a discussion I once had with some guys who claimed to be Atheists mainly from Nigeria on Facebook sometime in 2011. The quote goes.......... The Divine journey to discover the Deity without begins by discovering the Deity within.......... I will deliberately expand the quote thus..... The Divine (Spiritual) journey (pilgrimage) to discover (define, identify, experience, manifest, expose, cogitate, engage, commune, relate, resonate, reciprocate with) the Deity (Supreme Almighty Creator, God) without (outside you, external, universally) begins by (through, in, via, after) discovering the Deity within (inside you, internal, deposited in you or contained in you) What is it that is actually meant by the word WITHIN? OR what is really found within you which exhibits absolute indisputable evidence that ..... You are actually a CONTAINER or CARRIER of the Deity? Within you, is found your soul, spirit and blood. Of the 3, only the blood is actually capable to be physically handled, seen, tested and that's where I would like to dwell on in this discussion. In your blood, there are a lot of different properties, components or particles found therein. I am here to center on just one of the many things found in the blood, which is relevant to the topic we are discussing. In the blood we get the DNA of the creature. Within the DNA, we also find the Life Giving Cell (LGC). This LGC is incorruptible HENCE it's capable to be passed on from one offspring to another perpetually white it still remains True-To-Type even after thousands of years. The traits within the LGC maintains its identity. Both the female and male offsprings possess the LGC which they inherited from their respective ancestors BUT only the male can psss-on their LGC to the next offspring during the process of fertilisation. In this process, the female egg is fertilised (given life) by the male egg. Hence, it's precisely the male who can only impart the LGC to the offspring. That's how and why the same traits can be inherited from the ancestor almost unchanged over a thousand years. Therefore, that LGC contain the template with the information about your ancestor while it's crystal clear that you are actually part and parcel of your own ancestor. You are simply a reproduce, procreation, replica, and or reincarnation of your ancestor. Given all the details I attempted to expound about above, I am compelled to conclude that......... It's actually awkward for someone to insist and or claim that they can't exist in resonance, reciprocation, relevance, relationship and tranquility with their ancestor, since they have now decided to simply believe and pronounce or proclaim them (the ancestors) as EVIL BEINGS. Yet, everything within their fabric which form them explicitly reflect their ancestor while it can even be scientifically proven thus, they are actually -- blood of blood, bone of bone and flesh of flesh of/with the jettisoned ancestor. If it's true and practical that the soul of the ancestor is evil, then the LGC in their DNA they passed on to their offsprings is also evil. Thereby making the confessor of such belief (of EVIL ANCESTOR) absolutely an evil being or person respectively also. If your ancestor is really a demon, then you are actually a the product of a demon thereby making you a PHYSICAL LIVING DEMON precisely indeed. Since everything in the or of the ancestor whom you label or classify as a demon is verily manifested in you physically beyond any doubt while it can also be scientifically proven thus precisely. This tag or confession actually makes me wonder further again......... Does death (separation of the soul from the physical body) actually classifies automatically that soul as evil? The most saddest part of it all, as I know and have witnessed is that ............ It's only the Africans who are vehemently seeking to cut-off ties and links to do with their own ancestors in the attempt to seek audience, blessings and support from the Universal Deity Without (Almighty Supreme Creator, God) With the use of the information highlighted above, I am now geared to answer the questions listed below. Most of the responses I am going to provide are based upon what was actually revealed to me not what I heard or read from somewhere else. However, criticism, opposition, correction and or perfection of it is very absolutely welcome indeed. No one possesses the grand monopoly of all the knowledge universally. =============== *QUESTION 1)* What is a Mu-Dzimu? Answer - After someone dies, that soul of the person is what is generally referred to as the Mu-Dzimu or Dzimu in the Karanga /Kalanga culture. BUT when it's in the Deep and High Matare (Karanga Spiritual Councils), the title of Mu-Dzimu is applied to the soul or spirit of a departed *MALE* of whom the Homwe (vessel - the person on which the Mu-Dzimu manifests) is a direct offspring or descendant . =============== *QUESTION 2)* What is a Svikiro? Answer - To clearly answer this question, it's good to first-and-foremost delve into the meaning of Svikiro through elaborating how the term was coined or constructed. I start by the following words √ butiro --- It's a piece of material which is used to completely cover or wrap up anything (an object) √ dambiro --- It's a playing or dancing ground, arena or space √ gangiro --- It's a utensil which is used for frying or roasting things √ buriro (mhuriro) --- It's a place where things (particularly small grain crops) are threshed. It's called a threshing-floor √ svikiro --- It's an assembling, meeting place, reception or terminal. Pano svikira kana ku svikirwa ne vano uya va chibva kwavanobva. HOWEVER, the term Svikiro has not been used for an other purposes or labeling loosely of anything else BUT it has been specifically used to call any person on which a Mu-Dzimu or Dzimu manifests upon. Munhu wese ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu kana Dzimu ano shevedzwa kunzi Svikiro nokuti ndipo paari pano svikira kana ku svikirwa ne Dzimu iroro. NB:- A Svikiro is actually precisely and effectively both a Prophet/Prophetess and Priest. A prophet (seer) is the one who is able to see the hidden things (past, present and future) while the priest is the intercessor and or supplicator between the living, dead and the Creator. =============== *QUESTION 3)* What are the classes and or levels of Ma-Svikiro do we have? Answer - There are different classes and levels of Ma-Svikiro. This is determined by the spirit in possession and also depends on their ages, period, lifestyles and purposes or missions when/while they lived on earth before they passed on. Not every genuine Svikiro is capable to do every/any execution. Upon stating that, there is greater need for bringing clarity to this issue. I will begin by saying that,...... NB:- Svikiro Is actually the Spirit Medium (Homwe), the person on which the SPECIFIC Mu-Dzimu possesses and manifests upon. While the Mu-Dzimu itself is not the Svikiro. Hence the phrases used in reference to the Svikiro are eg - Svikiro ra Nehanda; not Svikiro Nehanda - Svikiro ra Chaminuka not Svikiro Chaminuka - Svikiro ra Kaguvi not Svikiro Kaguvi There are four classes or grades of Ma-Svikiro and in each class there are levels therein they are categorised. The basic four classes are as follows - a) Ma-Svikiro e Mhuri b) Ma-Svikiro e Misha c) Ma-Svikiro e Ma-Dzinza d) Ma-Svikiro e Nyika Class A is occupied by the lowest ranked Ma-Svikiro while Class D is of the highest ranked. CLASS A => Ma-Svikiro e Mhuri The Ma-Svikiro who occupy this class are those who are the HOMWE of the following Ma-Dzimu. I will also list them in their order beginning with the junior going upwards. - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa baba (possessed by the spirit of the father) - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa sekuru i.e baba va baba (possessed by the spirit of the grandfather i.e father's father) - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa baba va sekuru (possessed by the spirit of grandfather's father) - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa sekuru va sekuru (possessed by the spirit of the grandfather's grandfather). Most of those Ma-Svikiro who fall under this class are possessed by the spirits of the people who lived within the period of less than 200 years from today. CLASS B - Ma-Svikiro e Misha The Ma-Svikiro who occupy his class are those who get possessed by the following spirits. I will begin from the least of them to the highest one. - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa baba va sekuru va sekuru. - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru . - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa baba va sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru Under this category, most of the Ma-Dzimu lived between 200-450 years ago CLASS C - Ma-Svikiro e Ma-Dzinza In this category we have the Ma-Svikiro who are possessed by the spirits of those who lived between 450-700 years ago. If you have noticed the pattern of levels in the 2 Classes clarified above. There are actually 4 levels in each i.e from the lowest being son, then father, then grandfather and lastly great grandfather. The same hierarchy also applies and appears here again. We actually begin from where we left in the last Class B where we closed with sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru. For the sake of those who wish to clearly understand I will elaborate further again as below beginning with the least of them (who would be actually be the son precisely in that Class) - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa baba VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa baba va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru - ano budirwa ne Mu-Dzimu wa sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru Hence, the highest rank in this Class can be expressed in this way again. First note - baba va baba = sekuru Baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba. I've put the other va in capital letters so that those following won't get lost in the explanation. If you take a very close look, you will definitely discover that you are the 13th offspring from the highest ranking Mu-Dzimu in this Class while you are precisely around the 7th or 8th generation from the ancestor. This is the Level which starts to be rightfully referred to as Tateguru going up the Levels above and it will be the onset of another similar structure or hierarchy with the 2nd Tateguru Generation again. CLASS D - Ma-Svikiro e Nyika Those who qualify to hold this post are the ones who are actually elected and or chosen from the highest level of Class C that is precisely amongst the Tategurus. These Ma-Svikiro exhibit, exercise, execute and engage in the matters which deal with the entire political and government system of the Land (Nyika). This is the Supreme Class of ALL the Ma-Svikiro in existence. In this Class, there are also Levels or hierarchy of order. This Hierarchy of Order is as follows beginning from the Lowest ----- D 1 Ma-Nyusa, Ma-Kombwe, Mhondoro and Mbonga The first 3 are equal in post although they operate differently from each other while the title of Mbonga is specifically awarded to ALL the maSvikiro BUT they become thus (Mbonga) through a certain strict lifestyle they practice HENCE it's more of an Honorary title one has to GRADUATE into based SOLEMNLY UPON THE LIFESTYLE HENCE ONE IS NOT BORN WITH IT AT ALL. The lifestyle graduates, promotes or perfects you into being a Mbonga and one is demoted from the Title again through the lifestyle particularly of the Homwe. On the duties of the 3 listed above, I will elaborate below as follows ...... √ Ma-Nyusa This are loosely referred to as Rain-Makers. They handle the executions of rainmaking ceremonies (mikwerera) √ Ma-Kombwe These Ma-Svikiro do the executions dealing with Ma-Bira. This duty is actually carried by females only and specifically those who are nolonger engaging in sexual activities and are beyond the menopause stage of life. √ Mhondoro These deal with issues pertaining to the installation of Kings, Lords and Dukes (Madzi-Mambo, Madzi-Ishe ne Ma-Sadunhu) of the Land mainly. They also assist in the handling and conducting of Court Issues within the jurisdictions of the Office Bearers mentioned above. D2 Ma-Sadunhu D3 Madzi-Ishe D4 Madzi-Mambo D5 Mwene-Mutape I'll definitely elaborate further when I'm permitted to do so on the executions of D2-D5 NB:- 1) All the people who are enthroned or installed as Madzi-Mambo, Madzi-Ishe and Ma-Sadunhu are actually genuinely Spiritual Leaders since they are Ma-Svikiro themselves, that's why in some literature available and was written by early scholars, they are actually labeled as Prophet/Priest-Kings. 2) Class D is the one which constitute the highest political and government Council (Dare) of the Land known as the Ma-Dzimbahwe or Dare re Dzimbahwe. It MUST be also known and made clear that, in genuine Dzimbabwe political and government system ..... No one is supposed to take up, occupy or possess any leadership post within the communities, societies, state/nation and or kingdom if he/she is not a Svikiro. 3) In each-and-every complete family setup and or household there's a Svikiro (to be very specific, they are at least 2-4 of them) actually present indeed within any standard family (household) set-up) unfortunately enough majority of them are not recognized simply because of total ignorance, refusal, disapproval or complete rejection of them. (this is going to be elaborated further in the upcoming series) =============== *QUESTION 4)* What are the classes and or levels of MaDzimu or VaDzimu do we have? Answer :- The respond to this question is already provided in the entire reply to the previous Question Number 3, HOWEVER for the sake of clarity, the following elaboration is done. In terms of Classes or Grades of Ma-Dzimu, there are four or them. That is :- Class A Ma-Dzimu or Va-Dzimu ve Mhuri. Class B Ma-Dzimu or Va-Dzimu ve Musha Class C Ma-Dzimu or Va-Dzimu ve Dzinza Class D Ma-Dzimu or Va-Dzimu ve Nyika In terms of Levels, there are four Levels in each of the above listed Classes A-C except for Class D which has got a total of 8 Levels and they are elaborated as shown below. Class A Ma-Dzimu or Va-Dzimu ve Mhuri. Level 1 Dzimu ra Baba Level 2 Dzimu ra Sekuru (baba va baba) Level 3 Dzimu ra baba va sekuru (baba va baba va baba) Level 4 Dzimu ra sekuru va sekuru (baba va baba va baba va baba Class B Ma-Dzimu or Va-Dzimu ve Musha Level 5 Dzimu ra baba va sekuru va sekuru = baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba Level 6 Dzimu ra sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru = baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba Level 7 Dzimu ra baba va sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru = baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba Level 8 Dzimu ra sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru = baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba Class C Ma-Dzimu or Va-Dzimu ve Dzinza Level 9 Dzimu ra baba va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru = baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba Level 10 Dzimu ra sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru = baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba Level 11 Dzimu ra baba va sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru = baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba Level 12 Dzimu ra sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru = baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba Class D Ma-Dzimu or Va-Dzimu ve Nyika These Ma-Dzimu or Va-Dzimu who qualify to occupy and operate in this office are those chosen ones among the Ma-Dzimu e Dzinza. These begin from the 12th Level (some of them) of Ma-Dzimu or Va-Dzimu going upwards. The 13th Level consists of the following - Dzimu ra baba va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru va sekuru VA sekuru = baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba va baba VA baba Any Mu-Dzimu which is ranked from the 13th Level going upwards is the one classified as Tateguru. From Tateguru coming down to you, you become the 13th 14th offspring that is the 7th generation. The offices they occupy are as follows - Office 1 Ma-Nyusa, Ma-Kombwe and Mhondoro. Office 2 Duke (Sadunhu) Office 3 Lord (Ishe) Office 4 King (Mambo) Office 5 King of Kings i.e Paramount King (Mambo we Madzi-Mambo. In the Karanga Culture he is tittled Mwene-Mutape. =============== *QUESTION 5)* What is a N''anga? Answer - A N'anga is the one who is commonly referred to as Witch-Doctor. He or she treats people of their different ailments and challenges ranging from physical, mental, spiritual and financial aspects. The major source of power in the executions of a N'anga are things or instruments like charms, hakata , dumwa, zvi-kwambo etc. In MOST cases the spirits possessing them during their acts doesn't openly manifests and identify itself to the audience and allow any platform to discuss or commune. =============== *QUESTION 6)* What is a Mu-Royi? This is a person who is possessed by some evil spirit(s) to execute bad or harmful things upon others. In most cases they do this solely as mischief and or sport. Some get initiated unknowingly while others actually intentionally acquire the art of witchcraft. =============== *QUESTION 7)* What is the difference between a Mu-Royi and N'anga? Answer - The main difference between the two is that -- A Mu-Royi execute the shenanigans basically for the purpose of mischief and in most cases doesn't want to be publicly known hence operate clandestinely. While as for a N'anga the operations are done publicly and the services are actually commercialised and people actually consult for a fee. In some cases the services or operations the n'angas carry out are of positive benefit to everyone. A N'anga is the graduated version of Mu-Royi hence precisely called Witch-Doctor (a witch cum doctor. The bottom line is; in both cases - the spirits (witch & witch-docter) in possession and manifestation never wants to be identified or introduce itself. =============== *QUESTION 8* What is the difference between N'anga and Svikiro? Answer - When ministering or in execution, the Svikiro actually rely on the manifestation of the Spirit who speaks directly to the audience and in most cases first-and-foremost greets everyone and introduses self, while on ending Matare the spirit also bids farewell. On the other side, a N'anga simply employs his or her instruments to contact Matare. After performing the necessary Matare, a genuine, honest and perfect Svikiro links, hand overs and or surrenders the people (those who consult or seek their assistance) to their own Dzinza/Ma-Dzinza so that from thereon that Dzinza becomes the absolute Guide totally in everything they want and desire. Ma-Svikiro ano wadzanisa, yananisa, sanganisa neku enzanisa vabatsirwi vose nema Dzinza avo, miDzimu yavo nema Tateguru avo. This is unlike the N'anga who seeks to possess perpetual or permanent complete control, domain and charge over the people who consult thereby resulting in making them (the n'angas) perfect objects of worship and praise since the people will definitely come back for consultancy over and over again. A Svikiro is merely an initiator, ignitor, instigator, exciter, exposer, propeller, activator and or propagator of that which is already within you (your Dzinza or Mu-Dzimu) and then leaves you once you are connected. That is, after a thorough and perfect deliverance process. So in other words -- a Svikiro weans you (ano ku rumura) Since you will be capable of navigating totally alone. =============== *QUESTION 9)* Can you identify and separate N'anga, Svikiro, Mu-Royi whilst they are in operation or manifestation anywhere i.e especially on a religious gathering while they are ministering to the congregants? Answer - To those who take very close details on everything, they can verily identify or spot and clearly separate them all. While those who are spiritually mature can easily and clearly identify them all. The most common exhibitions of N'anga and Mu-Royi are the following among others - √ they seek to be highly feared and respected by everyone. √ there's always a flare of pride and show-off and they are attention seekers. √ they are involved in shady activities √ they employ systems, doctrines, laws, orders etc which force, intimidate and incarcerate the followers and or audience into believing, following and accepting their executions. They actually act as if they totally own the people and their souls, destiny and fate. While they seek to effectively control them for their own personal selfish gains. In short, they are easily taken or carried away with popularity, money (wealth) and or loose morals (especially sex scandals) One preacher once said that......... Power without character is satanic....... But I will rephrase it this way....... Power, authority, knowledge be it social, academic, financial/economic, political and or spiritual - without character, moral purpose, equality and perfection of Free-Spirits' manifestation, exhibition, expression, exercise, execution and exploration is precisely corrupt, demonic, evil and satanic and it's not worth to be praised, tolerated, emulated, promoted, propagated, progressed, perpetuated and perfected at all. =============== *QUESTION 10)* Are you able to identify, recognize and separate these other spirits when they manifest and are in operation i.e Ngozi, Chikwambo, Mu-Dzimu etc. Answer - To those who are really matured and also gifted spiritually, they can easily identify, recognize and separate these spirits indeed. If you manage to get a one-on-one meeting or enter into Matare with any one of them, just ask for their identity or for them to introduce themselves. One can easily judge or conclude in relation to the response given. The most easiest way to do so to any layman is to simply not pay attention to the prophecies and shenanigans (miracles, magic) performed but each-and-every one must have a breakthrough (zambuko) after all is said and done. When you fail to get a breakthrough, simply move on or away. Don't waste your time, it's not your place of deliverance. Anything which doesn't ignite, incite, excite, expose, invoke and evoke the Free-Spirit in you MUST be immediately jettisoned effectively. =============== *QUESTION 11)* What is a Godobori? A Godobori is a doctor and or physician (Chiremba or Murapi) who specialises in herbal and natural remedies, treatments or solutions. They possess deep knowledge, experience and or expertise in herbs hence a Godobori is a Herbalist. They can become one through training or tutoring, personal research/experience while in some cases they are spiritually imparted =============== *CONCLUSION::* I asked the above questions and attempted to answer them all to the best of my knowledge which is based mainly on my own personal experiences. I did this because I have witnessed these things among the Church and Traditional people. And there's gross confusion amidst the followers or gatherings. The moment you get these answers correctly, you will definitely NEVER be fooled and or waylaid by anyone or anything which manifests, operate or minister in the name of the Almighty Divine Creator. And you will definitely NEVER believe, accept, embrace, approve and tolerate any system which seeks to present itself as the ultimate, absolute and supreme above that which was, is and will be established in this entire universe. Don't be fooled at all from now onwards, because there's totally nothing like the NEW WORLD ORDER (NWO). New WORLD Order --- my foot!!!!!! I purposely capitalised the word world because HOW can someone (a mere human being just like me) claim to effectively create, design and establish an Order upon the entire world. A world which they weren't part and parcel in its origination IE its creation, formation, establishment and existence? This again is another topic for another day. The very moment you correctly place all or some of the things mentioned in this entire script, you then become truly matured and cease to be in the great perpetual spiritual dilemma and amnesia. This is a discussion I wasn't really ready and interested to venture at the moment up until the right time comes. T. Kaziwayi Admin. Inini zvangu ndi noti - kuti nyika ye Dzimbahwe i gadzikane zvachose uye i budirire zvaka nakisa zvine mhemberero mukati - pano diwa kuti Chi-Karanga/Chi-Vanhu kana kuti Chi-Nya-Kare chi dzoserwe muku batwa ne muku itwa kwacho zvaka kwana basi-basi. Nhau iri pa kuti - zvino fanirwa ku tanga papi. Where do we have to start (entry point/level)??? 🤔🤔🤔🤔✍🏽 Is the starting point at the national level (which is the helm or apex of the collective society) or it is at household level (dunga-munhu), which is at the grassroots. The grassroots is the absolute and outright foundation of the entire complex, diverse and vast society being classified as a sovereign state or state. Kana pa grassroots/foundation pari zi-nyeke-nyeke (weak, porous, fragile, disorderly, compromised, captured or corrupted), the entire complex of structure will definitely crumble down. A university graduate actually started by graduating the basic training at home from parents and guardians before enrolling in primary school, then secondary school up until university level. Even in any sporting event, you start by playing with toys and street practices and tournaments until you join different levels or divisions, then finally make it to the national team and or premier league. The list goes on and on. As an individual (dunga-munhu) align and perfect yourself first and foremost. Then graduate to involve the immediate family members (household /dumba or imba). These include your siblings, parents and your own children From that level you graduate and influence the broader family, which includes aunts, uncles, grandparents. Ndiyo mhuri. From mhuri level you graduate into musha level From musha level you graduate into dzinza level, From dzinza level you then graduate to engage other ma dzinza also - then at this stage it becomes national - yava nyika. If you can't handle, perform, strategise, discern and or disrupt anything at all as an individual - how are you going to make it possible and positively at national level. It will definitely be an execution of the totally blind, ignorant and novice and this will actually lead into a vicious cycle and circle of extreme amnesia and dilemma. Ngati tange ku tanha dza tino svikira or to start by first suckling the milk before we go for meat and bones. That's why the nation is suffering perpetually and progressively for almost half a century, simply because they have been starting with the grand finals before they have mastered the basics. Methinks so and always act likewise. #ndatendazvikurusa 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🐘
