*Repentance in the Ten Days of Dhul-Hijjah* Sheikh Mohammad bin Ghalib Al-Omari -hafidhahullah- said: *The greatest affair a person takes care of [during these ten days] is to repent to Allah.* Is repenting to Allah an act of worship or not? It is an act of worship. Hence, the greatest time to perform this act of worship is during these ten [days]. A person repents to his Lord and turns toward righteous deeds. He abandons evil actions, leaves off wrongdoing, gives up the pursuit of sins, and casts off the laziness that led him to neglect acts of worship and drawing nearer to Allah, the Glorified and Exalted, through various means.

*The Value of Time* Sheikh Mohammad bin Ghalib Al-Omari -hafidhahullah- said: A keen, wise, and intelligent Muslim knows the value of time, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "A servant’s two feet will not move on the Day of Judgement until he is questioned about four [affairs]”, and he mentioned among them, "about his life and what he did with it". *How did you spend your life? What was your life spent on? What have the years passed in?* 1. If it was in the worship of Allah ﷻ, then you'll find that in the records of your deeds. 2. If it was in permissible amusement and play, then it is neither for you nor against you. You'll not be rewarded, nor will you be sinful, unless it involved neglect in worship or led to such neglect. 3. If it was in the disobedience of Allah, you'll find that in the records of your sins.

*Testing Slaves by Seasons of Goodness* Sheikh Mohammad bin Ghalib Al-Omari -hafidhahullah- said: “From the favours of Allah ﷻ upon the Ummah of Islam is that he made for them seasons wherein good deeds are multiplied, and they are seasons of test for the slaves [of Allah]: Allah ﷻ observes His slaves—who comes forward and who retreats? Who answers [the call] and who turns away? *So, these seasons are a test.* And a slave [of Allah] is required to hasten towards the worship of Allah ﷻ.”

*The States of a Person's Life* Sheikh Mohammad bin Ghalib Al-Omari -hafidhahullah- said: A person’s life consists of a past he has lived, a present he is living, and a future that has not yet come. [As the poet says:] What has passed is gone, and what is hoped for is Ghayb (Unseen) And [indeed], you [only] have the moment you are in. *So, you are in the present time [now], so make the most of it; this is the time during which the records of your deeds are being written down.* And does a person know what will occupy him tomorrow? He is now healthy, but perhaps tomorrow he will be ill. He is now alive, but perhaps tomorrow he will be dead. He is now free, but perhaps tomorrow he will be busy.

Spouses resolve their conflicts when they give precedence to good opinions [of each other] over suspicion, sow kind words in the soil of disagreement, and choose love over anger, and dialogue over stubbornness. Indeed, when they do this: - Loyalty will prevail over arrogance - Finding excuses [for each other] will prevail over blame - And forgiveness will prevail over reproach; And the hearts will reunite, no matter the reason for their distance and separation.

*Making the Most of Blessed Seasons* Sheikh Mohammad bin Ghalib Al-Omari -hafidhahullah- said: The greatest act by which you can draw closer to Allah ﷻ ,after His Tawheed ﷻ, is to make the most of these blessed seasons. And the trait of the people of Emaan is that they do good deeds, continue worshipping Allah ﷻ, seek closeness to Him through various means, and worship him in many forms of worship. They do not slacken yet remain fearful and ask their Lord to accept [their deeds] from them.

O father, Do righteous deeds for yourself before your transition to your grave. Do not wait for a child to supplicate for you, for he may not supplicate, Nor for charity to be given on your behalf, for he may not give charity, Nor for an Umrah or Hajj to be [done and] intended for you, for he may not do so. For how many of those who departed have vanished from minds, just as they have vanished from sight?
