He outlined the airline’s strategy to overcome the situation, which includes working closely with consultants to implement a corrective action plan and introducing new routes from other destinations. According to a statement from the European Commission, aviation safety experts from EU member states identified significant shortcomings within Tanzania’s civil aviation oversight. The assessment revealed that the Tanzanian civil aviation authority had not sufficiently ensured compliance with international safety standards. Key concerns included an inadequate number of qualified personnel, weak oversight of flight operations and aircraft airworthiness, as well as failure to fully implement standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). As a result, Tanzania was added to the EU Air Safety List, which now includes 169 airlines from 19 countries. Alongside Tanzania, Suriname was also newly added to the list, which already features nations such as Afghanistan, Libya, Nepal, and Sudan. #airline #airtanzania #euairspace #europe #airtanzania_atcl #aviation #aviationtanzaniaupdates #aviationtanzania
