This issue came to light after an incident where water from the aircraft's drinking water system leaked because of a faulty connection. The leak affected the engine warning and alert system, which provides critical information to pilots. To prevent future incidents, the FAA has issued a new safety rule requiring airlines to install protective barriers, such as shields and covers, over water pipes to stop leaks from reaching key electronics. This rule will take effect on March 21, 2025, and airlines in the U.S. must make the necessary changes to 178 affected aircraft, at an estimated cost of $1.2 million. These changes aim to ensure flight safety by keeping water away from essential flight control systems. #faa #waterleak #boeing747 #aviationtanzaniaupdates #aviata #aviataupdates #aviatamedia #aviationcareer #aviationtanzania#aviata #aviataupdates #aviatamedia #aviatatv
